Have a DIY project you want to tackle but need some advise? Give us a call and we can give a few pointers over the phone. For the more in-depth projects, we offer a consultation service where we can direct you through your project while you do the work yourself.
We always try to go the extra mile for our clients as we believe the best way to grow a business is by obtaining a good reputation through word of mouth. While we are not the biggest company around, with 3 employees plus the owner, we have enough manpower to get the bigger jobs completed, while at the same time we are small enough to be personally accountable for the work we do. The owner (Shawn) is the one who will answer the phone, give you pricing, organize the job, be onsite working, and sort out any issues that come up.
Do you wish to replace your bathtub? Totally gut your home back to the studs? Add an addition? Build a shop in the back yard? Replace water damage? We can help you with budgeting, getting organized, completing any needed paperwork or permits and finally, do the actual work.
For interior projects we try very hard to keep the dirt and dust to a minimum. We use a variety of different methods such as: air cleaners, drop sheets, poly barriers, negative air pressure and vacuums. While these don’t catch 100% of the dust created it helps greatly.
Smoking, drug use, or being under the influence is strictly prohibited. However, lame dad jokes are strongly encouraged.
We, and all our sub-trades, are fully insured and registered with Worksafe BC.
Pricing is arguably the hardest part of running a construction business. Too high and you will have no work, too low and your business will shut down, we TRY to be in the middle somewhere.
One thing to remember is a company can tell you what the project will cost before they start, then give you an invoice for a much different number once the project is done citing “extras”. While there are times extras that do come up during a job we try to price very transparently and talk about any extras BEFORE we do them. The biggest thing to pricing and staying on budget is clear open frequent communication.
This method is preferable if you have a small to medium size job that has a low probability of hidden issues. We give you a hard price that does not change at the end of the project.
Pros - You know exactly what the bill is going to be.
Cons - We will probably price it a bit on the higher side to cover any issues that may arise.

This method is usually the only one we will use for our larger projects. There are too many unknown variables on large jobs that can change the price drastically. We give you a rough budget cost. As the project starts, we keep track of hours worked, subtrades and materials. We add a percentage (changes depending on size of job) to the total for company profit. We have a set time to submit to you our costs to keep you up to date whether its weekly, biweekly, or monthly.
Pros - You only pay for what you need. One stage of the project may cost more than budgeted and another stage may be less than budgeted but they could even out, or if the job runs under budget, you can easily make changes or upgrade items. It is also easier to make changes or downgrade items for budgeting.
Cons - Easier to have budget overruns.
